Developer FAQ
What is this site?
WearOS Faces (wearosfaces.com) is an independent, ad-free discovery directory for Wear OS watch faces. It automatically searches for watch faces and gives users a dedicated place to browse, compare, and find new faces. Every listing links directly to Google Play — no middleman, no commission. The backend is fully automated and runs on its own, applying the same logic to every developer and watch face. The site is also available as an Android app on Google Play.
How did my watch faces get here?
The site automatically searches for Wear OS watch faces. Your faces were picked up during this process. Some may be missing — your whole collection might not be easily accessible online, so the automatic process can miss entries.
How do I add missing watch faces?
Use the submission form at wearosfaces.com/submit. Paste Google Play links for the watch faces you’d like to add. The form automatically skips duplicates. If you have a very large catalog, get in touch and we can help with a bulk import.
Can I remove my watch faces?
Yes. The platform has no accounts or login system, so there is no self-service opt-out. To have individual watch faces or your entire developer profile removed, please contact us. That said, being listed here gives your work additional visibility and sends users straight to your Play Store page, so we’d encourage you to stay.
What types of apps are listed?
Individual watch faces only. Catalog apps, companion apps, launchers, and other non-watch-face apps are not supported and will be removed if accidentally picked up. If you come across any that don’t belong, please report them using the link on the face page.
How do I promote a price drop?
If you drop a price or go free temporarily, report it at wearosfaces.com/report-sale. The site can verify the price change for faces that are already listed and have a baseline price on record. Verified deals are highlighted in the Deals section, giving your promotion additional reach.
How do coupon codes work?
Go to wearosfaces.com/upload-coupons, paste your Google Play promo codes, pick an expiry date, and confirm via the verification email. Your watch face page will show a coupon button, and users can claim a code with one click. The site tracks claims so each visitor gets one code. When all codes are claimed, you’ll receive an email notification.
What is Featured placement?
The Featured section gives selected watch faces additional visibility on the homepage and Featured page. This is being developed as a paid option to help cover hosting and site management costs. The exact pricing is not finalized yet, but the goal is to keep it very affordable and accessible for independent developers. Featured placement is available to all developers on equal terms. Unfeatured faces always keep their natural position in the listings.
Can users follow me?
Yes. Users can subscribe to any developer and receive a daily email digest whenever new watch faces from that developer appear on the site. This gives you day-one visibility with your existing fans.
Do you share subscriber email addresses?
No. Users who subscribe to developer notifications gave their email address to wearosfaces.com, not to individual developers. Sharing those emails with third parties would violate our privacy policy and EU data protection rules (GDPR). Your subscriber count will be included in the monthly stats report (see below), but the email addresses themselves are never shared.
Can I get analytics about my watch faces?
We are building monthly stats reports for developers. These will include watch face page views, developer profile views, Play Store click-throughs, and subscription counts — broken down as daily aggregates. No personally identifiable data is included. Reports will be sent monthly to developers who opt in to receive them. If you’d like to be included, contact us.
Can users contact me through the site?
Yes, if you opt in. When enabled, a “Get support from the developer” button appears on your watch face pages, and a “Contact this developer” button appears on your developer profile. Users fill in a form with their name, email, and message, which is forwarded to the email address associated with your Google Play developer account. Your email address is never displayed on the site — users cannot see it before or after sending a message.
To enable or disable this feature, contact us.
Are stats and developer contact separate?
Yes. Opting in to monthly stats emails does not enable the contact feature, and vice versa. You can enable either, both, or neither — each is controlled independently.
Who runs this platform?
The platform is built and maintained by the creator of CELEST Watches, an independent Wear OS watch face brand. CELEST faces follow the same rules as every other developer’s: browse order is chronological, developer listings are shuffled daily, and the backend is fully automated with no special handling for any developer. The platform has no manual override that puts one developer above another in the default listings. CELEST may appear in the Featured section from time to time, but will not abuse it or flood it with its own work.
Is this affiliated with Google?
No. WearOS Faces is an independent project. Google Play and Wear OS are trademarks of Google LLC. All watch face names, icons, and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
