Privacy & cookies
This site is operated by WearOS Faces, Budapest, Hungary. For privacy inquiries, please contact us.
This site keeps things minimal. There are no accounts and no logins. The only places you can enter anything are the forms described below.
Cookies and local storage
- Theme — remembers your light/dark choice. No personal data.
- "New" badges — your browser's local storage records when you last visited so we can mark recently added watch faces with a "New" badge. This data stays in your browser and is never sent to the server.
- Coupon tracking — prevents the same visitor from claiming multiple coupon codes for the same watch face. No personal data.
- Abuse prevention — limits repeat submissions on the sale-report and coupon-upload forms. No personal data.
- Cookie consent — remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics.
- Analytics — we use Google Analytics to understand which pages are popular. It may collect device information, usage data, and browser identifiers. In the EU, EEA and UK it stays switched off unless you accept; elsewhere it runs unless you decline.
Page-load statistics
Separately from Google Analytics, we keep a simple count of how often the pages on this site are loaded — watch face pages, developer pages, and the browse, deals, coupon and search pages — how often the Google Play links are clicked (including the redeem link shown after you claim a coupon code), and how many people subscribe to a developer's updates. We use this to tell developers how their watch faces are doing on the site, and to see how the site is being used.
These are plain counters — a number per page, per day. They are not cookies and are not stored on your device: nothing is written to or read from your browser for this. We do not record or store your IP address, your browser or device details, or any identifier alongside these counts, and we do not use them to build a profile or to recognise you across visits or across pages. There is no way for us, or for a developer, to work backwards from these numbers to any individual visitor.
We also keep the same counts broken down by minute so we can see current activity on the site. Those minute-by-minute counts are deleted after 48 hours and are never included in what we send to developers.
A page is only counted once it has been on screen for a moment or you have interacted with it, so a page you close straight away is not counted at all. Automated crawlers are filtered out. To do this we check the browser identification your request already sends, at the moment the request arrives; it is used only to decide whether to count, and is never stored.
Because this involves no personal data and nothing stored on your device, it is not affected by your cookie choice and runs for everyone. Disabling JavaScript in your browser stops it entirely; some privacy extensions may block it too, though most do not, because the request goes to this site rather than to a third party.
The counts are aggregated per calendar month and shared with the developer whose watch faces or profile they relate to, and only with that developer.
Google reCAPTCHA
We use Google reCAPTCHA v3 on all forms to prevent spam and abuse. It loads on every page and may collect your IP address, device and browser information, and interaction data. This data is sent to Google and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Forms and the data they collect
Each form on the site collects only what it needs. In every case, your IP address is logged for abuse prevention and is never shared.
- Contact form — your name, email address, and message. For general enquiries, used to reply to you; your email is included as a Reply-To header and is not stored beyond the email itself. When contacting a developer through the form, your name, email address, and message are forwarded to the developer so they can reply directly. The developer's email address is never displayed on the site. Developer messages are also logged (sender name, email, message, date, and IP address) for abuse prevention.
- Submit watch faces — the Google Play links you provide, plus your IP address. Used only to review and add listings.
- Report a sale — the Google Play link, your IP address, and a browser token cookie. Used to verify the price change and highlight the deal.
- Upload coupons — the Google Play link, coupon codes, expiry date, and your IP address. Your developer email (already on file from Google Play) is used to send a verification link. Codes are stored and distributed to users who claim them.
- Claim a coupon — your IP address is stored alongside the claimed code. A cookie is set to prevent repeat claims from the same browser.
- Subscribe to a developer — your email address, the developers you follow, and timestamps for signup, confirmation, and last digest. Subscriptions use double opt-in: nothing is sent until you confirm via the link we email you, and unconfirmed requests are deleted automatically after 48 hours. Digests go out at most once per day, and only when a developer you follow has published new faces. Every email contains a one-click unsubscribe link; unsubscribing deletes your data immediately.
What we don't collect
No accounts, no passwords, no payment information, no tracking profiles. Outside of the forms listed above, the site takes no personal input by design.
Data retention
Form data (submissions, sale reports, coupon claims) is retained indefinitely. Subscription data is deleted immediately upon unsubscribing. You can request deletion of any data associated with your email address or IP by contacting us.
